Our final #BlackHistoryMonth spotlight on some of the brilliant Black designers helping power your endless closet 💪 Today, meet @thebemagugu and @kahindo_nyc.

💫 THEBE MAGUGU
The first African designer to win the prestigious LVMH Prize, @thebemagugu is known for powerful collections inspired by the social complexities of South Africa, his home. Based in Johannesburg, he draws inspiration from the people and places around him. Coming soon to RTR, you’ll find vibrant patterns (hello polka dots!) and tailored silhouettes 💥

💫KAHINDO
For @kahindo_nyc, fashion is more than creating beautiful clothing. It’s also about building a better industry through sustainable practices and providing financial independence for women in her hometown of Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Fun fact: she’s an RTR alum who realized design and entrepreneurship were her true passions – and the rest is history 👏

Psst: did you catch our earlier #BlackHistoryMonth spotlights? Take a peek to discover more brands new to you. Maybe share with your RTR BFF? 💕

Next in our #BlackHistoryMonth spotlights, we’re celebrating more of the amazing Black designers helping power your endless closet 💪 Today, get to know @walesbonner, @k.ngsley and @mossi_officiel.

💫 WALES BONNER
Blending European and Afro-Atlantic inspirations with androgynous silhouettes and sporty details, designer Grace Wales Bonner creates with the goal of making everyday clothes feel more elegant. Originally a menswear brand, Wales Bonner’s exquisite tailoring transitioned into womenswear. Remember that iconic white trench dress @sussexroyal wore to introduce baby Archie to the world? One of Grace’s many styles spotted on your favorite celebs 💥

💫 K.NGSLEY
With his signature styles being born from on a night out on the town in NYC (true story), Kingsley Gbadegesin is using his namesake label as a vehicle to uplift and give back to the Black, Queer and Trans communities. New to RTR, you might have already spotted his gender-nonconforming tank tops on site – the chic cut-out details make these a winning look for your next date night or virtual hang 👀

💫 MOSSI
Mossi Troaré’s goal is to make couture accessible to everyone and to help people – which he’s doing by offering couture training in the underprivileged suburbs of Paris. Almost 30 students a year are honing their haute couture skills in his school and able to more easily integrate into the professional world. Stay tuned for @mossi_officiel’s styles to make waves on RTR this spring, with ready-to-wear looks and expert draping 👏

In our #BlackHistoryMonth spotlights, we’re celebrating some of the talented Black designers helping power your endless closet 💪 First up, get to know @glemaud, @alietteny and @autumn_adeigbo.

 💫 VICTOR GLEMAUD
The Haitian-American designer who’s reinventing knitwear. Maybe you remember the sweater @selenagomez wore in her @voguemagazine’s 73 Questions? It sold out in a flash, and now fans of his joyous designs include @ashleygraham and @amandascgorman. Our favorite quote: “I treat knitwear like jeans — they’re part of your wardrobe year round.”

 💫 ALIÉTTE
Top stylist to the stars (@ritaora and @issarae to name a few), @jasonrembert wanted to put his own art into the world – starting with @alietteny, a tribute to his young daughter and late mother. In the RTR closet, you’ll find his take on luxe loungewear featuring poppy colors and escapist prints, all while paying homage to his family's roots in Martinique.

 💫 AUTUMN ADEIGBO
Spotted most recently in @voguemagazine with mentor (and fellow RTR designer) @toryburch, this WeHo-based designer creates with three ideals in mind: culture, color and conscience. All her styles are ethically sourced and constructed with female-owned factories. You’ll be sure to recognize her bold, statement-making prints splashed across our IG tags.

More spotlights on Black voices in fashion next week – stay tuned 💕
