We now offer home pickup in select zip codes—with more to come! Gone are the days of carving out time to swing by UPS. Read on to learn how to schedule a home pickup in three easy steps! Please note: If the service is available in your area, you’ll be prompted to schedule a home pickup during checkout. If not, keep an eye out as we continue expanding to new cities.

1. Schedule a pickup after confirming your next shipment

After tapping “Swap” on the items you want to return and confirming a new shipment, you’ll be prompted to schedule a complimentary home pickup right from the RTR app or site. Based on whether you select direct handoff or contactless pickup while scheduling, you can either hand your returns to the courier or leave them in an accessible spot (i.e., package room, doorman, doorstep). Be sure to note contactless pickup instructions in the details section of the scheduling form.

2. See your scheduled pickup status

Upon scheduling, you’ll see your scheduled pickup noted on your RTR homepage. Most pickups will happen 1–2 days after scheduling.

3. Get real-time updates from your courier

On the day of your pickup, you’ll receive a text message from your courier. You can let them know additional details about your pickup as needed, and they’ll keep you posted with real-time updates on their ETA.

If you change your mind after opting out of scheduling while confirming a new order, you can always head to My RTR and select Schedule a Pickup. Try out the complimentary service today, and get ready to remove drop-offs from your to-do list for good.

  1. When is home pickup available?
    Our couriers are currently available to pick up your returns on Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time.
  1. How will I know when my courier will arrive?
    You’ll receive a date and time window after scheduling a pickup, and your courier will text you the morning of with updates on when they’ll arrive.
  1. When will my items be removed from my account?
    Your returns should reflect as “en route to RTR” within a few hours of pickup. They will be removed from your account after they’re scanned back in at our fulfillment center.
  1. How much does home pickup cost?
    Home pickup is currently being offered as a complimentary service for all members in eligible zip codes.
